Overview

This node sends WhatsApp messages using the 2Chat service. It is useful for automating communication via WhatsApp, such as sending notifications, alerts, or marketing messages to individual recipients or groups. For example, a business can use this node to send order updates or promotional messages directly to customers' WhatsApp numbers.

Use Case Examples

  1. Send a text message to a customer's WhatsApp number to confirm an order.
  2. Send a media file (like an image or document) as an attachment to a WhatsApp contact.
  3. Send a location pin to share a meeting point or event location via WhatsApp.

Properties

Name Meaning
WhatsApp Number Name or ID The WhatsApp number connected to 2Chat from which the message will be sent. This can be selected from a list or specified via an expression.
To Number The recipient's WhatsApp number to which the message will be sent.
Message Text The text content of the WhatsApp message to be sent. Either this or a Pin Location must be provided.
URL Optional URL of a media file to attach to the message, such as an image or document.
Pin Location Optional location data to attach to the message, including address, latitude, longitude, name, and URL.

  • status - The status of the message sending operation (e.g., sent, failed).
  • toNumber - The recipient's WhatsApp number to which the message was sent.
  • sentAt - Timestamp indicating when the message was sent.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure the WhatsApp number connected to 2Chat is valid and active; otherwise, messages will not send.
  • Verify that either Message Text or Pin Location is provided, as one is required to send a message.
  • Check the format of the recipient's WhatsApp number to match international standards to avoid delivery failures.
  • If media URL is provided, ensure the URL is accessible and points to a supported media type.
