Consume Summa API (v.0.1.7)

Actions182

Overview

This node integrates with the Summa API to create a Call Forward Supplementary Service for an SS Subscription via SOAP. It allows users to configure call forwarding settings such as activation state, forwarding address, timers, and notification preferences on a subscriber's supplementary service subscription.

Typical use cases include telecom operators or service providers who want to automate the management of call forwarding features on subscribers' accounts. For example, enabling unconditional call forwarding to a specific number when the subscriber is unreachable or busy.

Output

The node outputs JSON data representing the result of the creation operation for the call forward supplementary service. This typically includes confirmation details, status codes, or any returned metadata from the Summa API related to the newly created service.

No binary data output is indicated for this operation.

Dependencies

  • Requires an API key credential for authenticating with the Summa API.
  • The node uses an HTTP client internally to communicate with the Summa backend services.
  • Proper configuration of the Summa API credentials within n8n is necessary.
  • The node depends on the Summa API version specified in the bundled source (v.${F.version}).

Troubleshooting

  • Authentication errors: Ensure that the API key credential is correctly configured and valid.
  • Invalid input values: Required fields like Address, Id, SS Subscription ID, and Operator ID must be provided and correctly formatted.
  • Unsupported address or numbering plan: Verify that the selected options for Address Nature, Address Type, and Numbering Plan are compatible with the Summa API expectations.
  • Timeouts or connectivity issues: Check network connectivity and API endpoint availability.
  • Error responses from API: Review the error message returned by the API for clues; common issues include invalid parameters or insufficient permissions.
