This node operation allows editing a group within the CIPP system by modifying its membership and ownership. It supports adding or removing members and owners by their GUIDs, making it useful for managing group composition dynamically. Practical applications include updating team memberships, managing access control groups, or adjusting organizational units in an automated workflow.

Use Case Examples

  1. Add a new member to a project group by specifying their GUID.
  2. Remove an owner from a department group to update leadership roles.
  3. Simultaneously add and remove members and owners to reflect organizational changes.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure Tenant ID and Group ID are correctly specified; missing or incorrect IDs will cause errors.
  • Verify GUIDs for members and owners are valid and exist in the system to avoid failed add/remove operations.
  • Check network settings if using proxy or if SSL issues occur; enabling 'Ignore SSL Issues' may help in some cases but is insecure.
  • Timeout errors may occur if the server is slow or unresponsive; increase timeout setting if needed.
