Consume Autotask REST API

Actions389

Overview

The node retrieves detailed information about a specific company from the Autotask REST API using the provided Company ID. It supports options to customize the output, such as including human-readable labels for picklist and reference fields, selecting specific columns to return, and flattening user-defined fields for easier access. This node is useful for workflows that need to fetch and process company data, for example, to integrate company details into CRM systems or to trigger actions based on company attributes.

Properties

Name Meaning
Company ID The unique identifier of the company to retrieve information for. This is a required input to specify which company to get.
Add Picklist Labels Whether to add additional fields with human-readable labels for picklist fields in the company data. Helps interpret picklist values more easily.
Add Reference Labels Whether to add additional fields with human-readable labels for reference fields in the company data. Useful for understanding referenced entities.
Select Columns Names or IDs. Allows selecting specific fields to include in the response. If none are selected, all fields are returned. The ID field is always included.
Flatten User-Defined Fields Whether to move user-defined fields (UDFs) from a nested array to top-level properties in the output object, making them easier to access.

Output

JSON

  • id - The unique identifier of the company.
  • name - The name of the company.
  • fieldName
    • _label - Human-readable labels for picklist or reference fields if enabled.
  • userDefinedFields - Array of user-defined fields if not flattened; otherwise, UDFs appear as top-level properties.

Dependencies

  • Requires an Autotask API credential for authentication to access the Autotask REST API.

Troubleshooting

  • Ensure the provided Company ID is valid and exists in the Autotask system; otherwise, the node may return an error or empty result.
  • If no fields appear in the output, verify that the API credentials have sufficient permissions to read company data.
  • When using 'Select Columns', ensure the field names or IDs are correct; invalid fields may cause incomplete data or errors.
  • If labels for picklist or reference fields are not appearing, check that the corresponding options are enabled and that the fields have non-empty values.
