Overview

This node operation retrieves multiple Configuration Item Category User-Defined Field (UDF) Associations from the Autotask system. It is useful for users who want to fetch and analyze the associations between configuration item categories and their custom fields in bulk. For example, an IT service manager might use this to audit or report on all UDF associations for a specific configuration item category to ensure data consistency or to prepare for migration.

Properties

Name Meaning
Configuration Item Category ID Specifies the unique identifier of the configuration item category for which the UDF associations are to be retrieved.
Fields Defines which fields to include in the response, allowing users to map and select specific data points from the UDF associations.
Get All Determines whether to return all matching records or limit the number of records returned.
Max Records Specifies the maximum number of records to return when 'Get All' is set to false. The value must be between 1 and 500.
Add Picklist Labels Indicates whether to automatically add human-readable label fields for picklist fields in the response.
Add Reference Labels Indicates whether to automatically add human-readable label fields for reference fields in the response.
Select Columns Names or IDs. Allows selection of specific fields to include in the response. If no fields are selected, all fields are returned. The ID field is always included.
Flatten User-Defined Fields Determines whether user-defined fields should be promoted to top-level properties in the output objects instead of being nested.

Troubleshooting

  • If no records are returned, verify that the Configuration Item Category ID is correct and that there are existing UDF associations for it.
  • If the node returns an error about authentication, ensure that the Autotask API credentials are correctly configured and valid.
  • When selecting fields, if unexpected data is missing, check if 'Select Columns' is restricting the output fields.
  • If the node times out or returns partial data, consider enabling 'Get All' to retrieve all records or increasing the 'Max Records' limit within allowed bounds.
