Overview
This node interacts with the Autotask REST API to retrieve detailed information about a specific time entry by its ID. It is useful for workflows that need to fetch and process time tracking data from Autotask, such as generating reports, syncing time entries with other systems, or validating time entry details before further processing.
Properties
| Name | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Time Entry ID | The unique identifier of the time entry to retrieve. This is a required field to specify which time entry to get. |
| Add Picklist Labels | Determines whether to automatically add human-readable label fields (with suffix '_label') for picklist fields in the response. Labels are only added if the picklist field has a value. |
| Add Reference Labels | Determines whether to automatically add human-readable label fields (with suffix '_label') for reference fields in the response. Labels are only added if the reference field has a value. |
| Select Columns Names or IDs. | Allows selection of specific fields (columns) to include in the response. If no fields are selected, all fields are returned. The ID field is always included regardless of selection. |
| Flatten User-Defined Fields | Determines whether user-defined fields (UDFs) should be brought up to the top level of the returned object instead of being nested inside a userDefinedFields array. |
Output
JSON
id- The unique identifier of the time entry.fields*- Various fields of the time entry, including standard and user-defined fields, depending on selected columns.
*_label- Human-readable labels for picklist or reference fields, added if enabled.userDefinedFields- Array of user-defined fields if flattening is disabled.
Dependencies
- Requires an Autotask API key credential for authentication to access the Autotask REST API.
Troubleshooting
- If the Time Entry ID is missing or invalid, the node will throw an error indicating the ID is required or not found.
- If API authentication fails, check that the Autotask API credentials are correctly configured and valid.
- Selecting invalid or non-existent columns in 'Select Columns' may result in incomplete or empty data fields.
- Enabling 'Add Picklist Labels' or 'Add Reference Labels' without corresponding fields having values will not add labels.
- If user-defined fields are not appearing as expected, verify the 'Flatten User-Defined Fields' setting.
